From The Venus of Willendorf, to the Italian Renaissance and modernists like Picasso and Klimt, the human form has been the subject of artists’ work from the time that art was first created. Following in this tradition, my figurative work explores the geography of the human body. Influenced by the works of Alice Neal, Lucien Freud and Diane Arbus, I appreciate both the beauty and absurdity of the human form.
